Privacy Notice

Short version: the League collects what it needs to run your membership and talk to you about the League. It does not sell your data, and it does not rent the member roster to anyone.

1. Who we are

The League of Industrial Operators is a program of Apex8 Publishing LLC, 5725 South Valley View Boulevard, Las Vegas, NV 89118. Questions about this notice: membership@leagueofoperators.org.

2. What we collect

At signup: your name, business name, email address, job title, and company website. Optionally your LinkedIn profile.
From payment: billing records returned by Stripe — the amount, date, cadence, card brand and last four digits, and your subscription status. The League never sees or stores your full card number. Payment is processed entirely on Stripe's own pages.
From participation: which sessions and programs you attend, certificates you earn, and what you post in member spaces.
From the website: standard server logs — IP address, browser, pages requested — kept for security and troubleshooting.

3. What we use it for

Running your membership: billing, receipts, renewal reminders, and access to member material and spaces.
Communicating with you about the League: sessions, programs, and member news.
Issuing and verifying certificates you have earned.
Understanding, in aggregate, what members find useful.

You can stop the non-essential email at any time using the unsubscribe link. Billing and account notices are part of your membership and continue while it is active.

4. What we do not do

We do not sell member data.
We do not rent, license, or hand over the member roster for outbound marketing — not to sponsors, not to instructors, not to partner organizations.
We do not use what you share in a member session for advertising.

5. Who else touches it

The League uses ordinary service providers to operate, and shares only what each one needs:

Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing. Stripe's own privacy policy governs the payment data it holds.
HubSpot — member records and email.
Google Workspace — member material and the members-only space.
Independent instructors and partner organizations — for a program you enrol in, the roster for that program only.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect the safety of members.

6. Other members

Your name, company, and role appear in the member directory while your membership is current. Members are bound by the confidentiality section of the Membership Terms — the directory is for member-to-member contact, not a prospecting list.

7. How long we keep it

Membership records are kept while you are a member and for as long afterwards as we need them for tax, accounting, and certificate verification. Certificate records are kept indefinitely so that a certificate you earned can always be verified.

8. Your choices

Write to membership@leagueofoperators.org to see what we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it. Deletion requests are honoured except where we are required to keep a record — billing history and issued certificates being the usual exceptions. You can manage or cancel your own billing at any time from the membership portal.

9. Cookies

The League's pages use only what is needed to serve the site. Stripe's checkout and portal pages set their own cookies for security and fraud prevention, governed by Stripe's privacy policy.

10. Changes

If this notice changes materially, members will be told at least 30 days beforehand.
